Aham
Before the name, before the story —
what’s actually here?
A space of one-to-one reflection, held through conversation, self-inquiry, journaling, stillness, and the outdoors.
Not to fix you.
Not to label you.
Not to give you a better mask.
To look — slowly — at what keeps repeating.

Nothing has been held back.
Master, I’ve been here for years and you still haven’t told me the secret.
(pointing to a wildflower bush) Can you smell this wildflower bush?
Yes.
See — I’ve held nothing back.
Most of what we seek is not hidden. It’s simply moving too fast to notice. Koans like this are not puzzles to solve; they are doors that swing open when you stop trying to pick the lock.
Hi, I’m Shruthi.
MSc-trained psychologist. Trauma-informed facilitator. Wilderness First Responder. Someone who has spent years sitting with people, patterns and mountains.
I’m not your guru or a know-it-all therapist. My role is to sit beside you as you look at the stories you’ve been telling yourself.
This space is — and isn’t.
- A reflective practice for emotional confusion, relationship patterns, family conflict, loneliness, grief, self-image, substance concerns and questions of meaning.
- A place to notice your thought loops and the habitual ways you seek safety.
- A space where love isn’t a performance; it’s what’s left when the noise of self-protection softens.
- Not emergency care.
- Not psychiatric treatment.
- Not a five-step journey or a guru situation.
- Not “positive vibes only.”
- Not a place where someone tells you how to live.
Glimpses.
Not success stories. Glimpses.
This morning my father and I sat in silence for longer than we’d spoken all year. Nothing was solved but something was seen and understood.
I realised my problem wasn’t my partner; it was the way I clung to being right.
During a climb, my fear on the wall showed me a fear I carry into every argument.
I joined because I “had anxiety.” I left realising I was the one who kept feeding it.
